About Us
Medical Aid to Sri Lanka is a registered charity aiming to help improve medical facilities in Sri Lanka. Started in 1995, we have donated medical equipment and supplies to various government health institutions and have also supported training of health workers. Over 99% of the money donated goes towards funding our projects. All officers work on a voluntary basis.
Our projects include a major Cataract surgery programme, run with the support of the local volunteer eye specialists. So far we have helped over 800 blind patients to see again. We have also contributed funds for an urgently needed Mammography machine for the Cancer Hospital, Maharagama, to increase early detection of breast cancer. Please use the menus above to find out more about our projects and how you can support us.
