UK Association for Medical Aid to Sri Lanka
is a registered charity aiming to help improve medical facilities in Sri Lanka. Started in 1995, we have donated a range of equipment and medical supplies to various government health institutions and have also supported training of health workers.

Opportunities to help:

  • Cataract is a major cause of disability in Sri Lanka and most people can not afford to have surgery. Cataract surgery per person now costs only £25 with our volunteer surgeons. Click here for more details.
     
  • Jeevithaloka Project: Cancer Hospital, Maharagama, the major Tertiary Hospital for Cancer in Sri Lanka has only one Mamography machine for breast screening (for early detection of breast cancer). We are now in the process of purchasing this equipment with funds donated by a large number of supoporters, Festival of Cricket Children’s Charity, Imperial College Sri Lanka Association and Inner Wheel Club of Sri Lanka.
